Vaccination against COVID-19

New coronavirus restrictions in St. Petersburg and Moscow are an occasion to remind you how important it is to get vaccinated against COVID-19, if you have not already done so.

The math here is very simple: the more people get vaccinated, the stronger herd immunity will be. The more lives will be saved and the less will be the burden on hospitals and doctors. And, of course, we will quickly return to the normal life that we miss so much.

We remind you that you can get vaccinated against the new coronavirus in the network of clinics "Scandinavia".

How to vaccinate against covid

"Sputnik Light" involves a one-time introduction of the vaccine.

At the moment, we vaccinate against COVID-19 only with the Gam-COVID-Vac vaccine with the marketing name Sputnik V, as well as the Sputnik Light vaccine.

Vaccination in the clinic "Scandinavia" for citizens of the Russian Federation is free. However, before getting vaccinated, you must consult with your doctor, who will determine if you can be vaccinated for health reasons. The cost of such an appointment is 2900 rubles. The cost of vaccination for foreign citizens is 600 rubles.

Also, for those who want to get vaccinated urgently, the service "Emergency vaccination against COVID-19" is available (the cost of such a service is higher). The COVID-19 vaccine is available to citizens of the Russian Federation, regardless of the region, as well as to foreign citizens. Foreign citizens can only be vaccinated with the Sputnik Light vaccine.

  • Revaccination is a re-vaccination. It is carried out with the same purpose as in the first case: to help the immune system fight the virus and prevent illness.
  • According to the recommendations of the Russian Ministry of Health, at the moment, re-vaccination should be done every six months under the “emergency” vaccination regime.
  • Revaccination in the clinic "Scandinavia" for citizens of the Russian Federation is free. However, before getting vaccinated, you must consult with your doctor, who will determine if you can be vaccinated for health reasons. The cost of such an appointment is 2900 rubles. The cost of vaccination for foreign citizens is 600 rubles.

  • at the first vaccination – from the 21st day after vaccination;
  • in case of revaccination within a year – from the date of vaccination;
  • with a later revaccination – from the 21st day after vaccination.
  • elevated temperature;
  • chills;
  • muscle pain;
  • weakness;
  • headache;
  • slight swelling, redness and soreness of the skin at the injection site.

If you're in doubt

Worrying about your health is normal. So that you don't feel anxious, we offer a short online consultation with a doctor, where he will answer your questions about the vaccination.

And if you pay for two pre-vaccination appointments at once, you can get vaccinated for the price of 10% below normal.

What needs to be done for vaccination

Special preparation for vaccination against a new coronavirus infection is not required.
You need to fulfill a few simple conditions:

  • Arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment.
  • fill out the form with the administrator;
  • be sure to take your passport, SNILS, OMS policy (!). This is important, since the government of St. Petersburg buys the vaccine and the doctor enters it into a special register;
  • be prepared that one appointment with a doctor's consultation, defrosting of the vaccine, administration and obligatory observation after the injection will take about 1.5 hours.

You can also get answers to questions about COVID-19 directly in Telegram. We have a chatbot.

Answering important questions

Do I need to be vaccinated if I have already had the coronavirus?

It is recommended to get vaccinated a few months after the symptoms of the disease have disappeared – the optimal period is 6 months. Consult with a therapist to make an informed decision.

Why get vaccinated if the virus mutates?

Because even with mutations, the vaccine does not completely lose its effectiveness. Yes, the percentage of effectiveness will fall, but will not be equal to 0. So, against the delta strain, the effectiveness of existing vaccines is somewhat lower (but still quite high): Pfizer – 88%, AstraZeneca – 60%, data on the effectiveness of Sputnik V or others There are no Russian vaccines against the delta strain yet. In addition, vaccines will probably be updated in the future so that they can better provide immunity at the moment.

Do I need to be vaccinated again if the vaccination was more than 6 months old and, according to the test results, there are still antibodies in the body? How often should antibody tests be done?

Antibodies should not be a key factor in the decision to revaccinate. Re-vaccination may be recommended 6 months after the last vaccination. If an antibody test result is available, the decision to revaccinate should be based on the time elapsed since the first vaccination, as some antibody tests do not show a specific immune response to the vaccine. Also, antibody testing only measures a portion of the immune response (eg production of B-cell antibodies) and may miss other types of immune responses (eg T cells).Official health organization institutions do not recommend making tests on antibodies, and even more so to do them regularly.

Why are the shelf life of the Vaccine Vaccine "Satellite V"?

Currently, the shelf life of vaccines from COVID-19 "Satellite V" and "Satellite Light" are extended according to the instructions approved by the Ministry of Health.

This happens on a number of objective reasons:

  • Vaccine is not made on one, but on three sites, which began to produce a "satellite V" and "Satellite Light" at different times;
  • Scientists continue to receive new data, including, under the conditions in which the vaccine can be stored. This affects the shelf life. For example, when "satellite V" and "Satellite Light" only developed, they were difficult to store and transport. Thanks to the additional study with these problems, it was copred, and you can store the drug longer;

When vaccines are only being developed, they set the minimum shelf life for them. When scientists understand that the vaccine is stable in different conditions and can be stored longer, the storage time increases.

According to the approval of the Ministry of Health, the shelf life of vaccines is extended as follows:

For drugs produced at the "Genesis" sites – from six to nine months;

For drugs produced at the "Biocad" sites, – from six to twelve months;

For drugs from Pharmstandart-Ufavita: frozen shape – from six to nine months, liquid shape – from two to six months.
