A study published in the respected medical journal The Lancet confirmed the high safety level of the single-component Sputnik Light coronavirus vaccine, RDIF reports.

The publication states that the vaccine shows a high safety profile and elicits a strong humoral and cellular immune response.

Also during the study, the majority of side effects among participants were mild or moderate. No serious adverse events were recorded.

As a booster, Sputnik Light is undergoing clinical trials in a number of countries around the world. In particular, the combination of the vaccine with AstraZeneca showed higher immunogenicity compared to the AstraZeneca vaccine alone.

Earlier it was reported that it is planned to amend the methodological recommendations for the prevention of infection, according to which the Sputnik Light coronavirus vaccine should be used only for revaccination.

Later, the Ministry of Health stated that Sputnik Light should be used both for revaccination and after the coronavirus.
