Tibetan and European medicine. Fight or cooperation?

Rapprochement, cooperation and synthesis of Tibetan and European medical schools is a current trend in the development of modern medicine. Disputes and rivalry are being replaced by a common understanding of the need for a comprehensive approach to health.

Tibetan and European medicine. Fight or cooperation?

Eastern medicine is often contrasted with Western medicine. But are there any real contradictions between them? Can medication and acupuncture be used at the same time? The answer to this question will surprise many.

Tibetan medicine and Western medicine cannot conflict in principle, since there is no dividing line between them. And if there is no front line, then there is no war. And all statements about allegedly insoluble contradictions are nothing more than a delusion. And this is not an unfounded statement, but the official position of the World Health Organization, which recommended acupuncture for the treatment of several dozen diseases. The effectiveness of Oriental medicine methods has already been confirmed by hundreds of studies conducted according to all the rules of modern evidence-based medicine. All of them showed that Tibetan and European medicine do not contradict, but ideally complement each other.

The fact is that European medicine is aimed at eliminating the symptoms of the disease. At best, to neutralize the mechanisms of their development. And Tibetan medicine eliminates the causes of diseases. In some cases, Tibetan methods are an addition, and in others – an alternative to drug therapy. For example, acupuncture has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect, and acupressure is the best way to relieve muscle spasms.
