Minimally invasive heart surgery

Heart disease has always caused fear people. First of all, it is associated with surgical treatment of coronary problems: the fear of a complex and dangerous operation or postoperative pain. But modern medicine for so much stepped forward that many unpleasant associations can be forgotten. With the development of medical and surgical techniques, the operations on the heart were simplified and became safer. Today, surgical intervention takes less time, requires a short reducing period and leaves the minimum scar.

In the past, indeed, the doctors had to act very traumatic for the patient. In order to open access to the heart, a rather large section of 25 – 30 cm and the damage of the ribs were needed. After the operation, the patient experienced pain and had to recover for about two months. To date, Thai specialists carry out similar operations by applying minimally invasive techniques. The incision is only 4-5 cm, the entire procedure is performed under the control of special equipment and takes 1-2 hours.

In addition, patients will not need blood transfusion or resection of ribs. Postoperative recovery takes only a few weeks, after which the patient returns to its former life.

With the help of new surgical technologies, Thai doctors can carry out small-acting operations to restore the operation of the aortic valve and carry out many other heart surgery.

Thanks to scientific achievements in different fields of medicine, operational risks and painful recovery will soon go back.
