MEDICINE OF THE PROPHET: WAYS TO PROTECT AGAINST THE VIRUS

Islam encourages us to beware of any pests, threatening human life through unexpected or dangerous actions. After all, Almighty Allah entrusted a man life and health. And this is one of the noble goals of Sharia – to understand the value of life and health, and protect them.

Almighty Allah speaks in the Quran: "Do not expose yourself danger" (Sura "al-bakara", 195) and "Do not kill yourself" (Sura "An-Nisa", 29). Consequently, to neglect their health and do not try to prevent the life-threatening life and diseases are equally pledged to itself.

At the same time, we would like to mention several ways to prevent various infectious diseases, which are given in Islam and were commanded by the Prophet (peace and blessing of Allah).

Bans for a patient with an infectious disease:

First of all, The patient must do everything possible to recover from the disease. If the sick person is not looking for medicines from illness and does not try to get rid of the illness, he takes his sin.

Secondly, A patient who knows that it is infected, should not distribute the disease. That is, a person with an infectious disease should not work closely with other people, talking at close range, greet hands and arms.

Thirdly, Without the need for a sick person should not move to another place. If he moves to another place, then the infection of others will be inevitable. It is strictly prohibited in Sharia. Even the Prophet (peace and blessing of Allah) said in Hadith: "If you hear about the plague in some land, do not enter it; If the plague spread in the area where you are, do not leave it " (Bukhari, Muslim).

Bans for a healthy person in the spread of infectious diseases:

First of all, A healthy person must be delicated with a sick person. That is, it is unacceptable to laugh loudly in front of the patient, saying sharp words, joke.

Secondly, A healthy person must take maximum precautions when communicating with patients.

The above prohibitions can be viewed as a practical memo to a healthy and sick person in the event of an infectious disease.

Hokm Islam relative to human fabulousness in case of illness:

First of all, a person suffering from infectious disease must be satisfied with the fate given to him by God, the tests he was subjected to, hope for a great reward, pray for a cure.

When an infectious disease is applied, a healthy person should not be afraid of anything, his task is to take all the necessary precautions and rely only on the Most High. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said in a hadith: "No contagion and no superstition". Another hadith says: "Flee from leprosy like a lion". Although these two hadiths may seem contradictory in appearance, they actually imply that a person becomes infected by the will of the Almighty, and also that infectious diseases should be avoided.

It is enough to tell the story from the life of the second caliph Umar al-Khattab (r.a.), when he learned about the outbreak of an epidemic in a certain city where he was going.

Upon hearing this news, Umar (r.a.) consulted with the commanders-in-chief and decided to return. Then Sahaba Abu Ubaydah ibn Jarrah (may Allah be pleased with him) asked:

Are you running from God's destiny?
– Yes, I'm running from God's destiny to God's destiny. If you have camels, and in front of you is a grassy meadow on one side and salty pastures on the other side, will it not be by the will of God that you graze your camels on the grassy side, or by the will of God on the salty? – he said.

We hope that this event and the aforementioned principles of Islam in the event of the spread of infectious diseases will help us get out of today's difficult situation, make the right decisions in critical times, avoid emergencies and quarantine in the country.
