Prevention – a set of measures aimed at preserving and strengthening health and including the formation of a healthy lifestyle, prevention and (or) dissemination of diseases, their early detection, identification of the causes and conditions for their occurrence and development, as well as aimed at eliminating the harmful effects on Human health factors of its habitat.

Today, 3 strategies are used to prevent chronic noncommunicable diseases:

Population strategy – Impact through the media on those lifestyle and environmental factors that increase the risk of developing the HIS, among the entire population.

High risk strategy – identification of persons with an elevated level of risk factors of the HIS and carrying out measures for their correction. The implementation of this strategy is mainly in the health sector and primarily in its primary link.

Secondary Prevention Strategy – It is the early diagnosis and prevention of disease progression, both at the expense of factor prevention and correction of behavioral risk factors, and through timely conduct of modern treatment, including using high-tech interventions.
