The main topic of discussion was the development of a feasibility study (feasibility study) for the construction of a bridge over the river. Selenga (from Babushkina street to Poselye settlement) in Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia and options for its location. The Ministry of Transport of Buryatia has previously held a number of working meetings on this issue. Organization "Indor", which started the development of the feasibility study, has already calculated the options for the location of the bridge, several options for the location and one option for the bridge itself were considered. According to the director of Indor, Lyudmila Suslova, the location is limited by the sanitary zones of water intakes, so they chose the best places, taking into account all sanitary zones and suitable for hydrological characteristics. The main document they were guided by was the general plan of the city of Ulan-Ude. Evgeny Lukovnikov added that today the city is developing intensively, many social facilities are being built, so our primary task is to distribute the traffic flow.
“When calculating all the options, the Indor company took into account the existing transport scheme and the master plan of the city, which will change in two years, so things will not work out that way. Today the city is developing intensively and we need to take it into account in the future. We have not just a bridge, but another transport crossing with two bridges. Therefore, in order to calculate all the options, we need more serious modeling with all the promising options using modern technologies,” said Evgeny Lukovnikov

During the meeting, the possibility and necessity of a tram device on the left bank of Ulan-Ude was also considered.
