It was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Transport of Buryatia, Buryatregionavtodor, the architect of the city of Ulan-Ude and the design-analytical and transport committees of the Administration of Ulan-Ude.

The main topic of discussion was the development of a feasibility study (feasibility study) for the construction of a bridge over the river. Selenga (from Babushkina street to Poselye settlement) in Ulan-Ude, Republic of Buryatia and options for its location. The Ministry of Transport of Buryatia has previously held a number of working meetings on this issue. Organization "Indor", which started the development of the feasibility study, has already calculated the options for the location of the bridge, several options for the location and one option for the bridge itself were considered. According to the director of Indor, Lyudmila Suslova, the location is limited by the sanitary zones of water intakes, so they chose the best places, taking into account all sanitary zones and suitable for hydrological characteristics. The main document they were guided by was the general plan of the city of Ulan-Ude. Evgeny Lukovnikov added that today the city is developing intensively, many social facilities are being built, so our primary task is to distribute the traffic flow.

“When calculating all the options, the Indor company took into account the existing transport scheme and the master plan of the city, which will change in two years, so things will not work out that way. Today the city is developing intensively and we need to take it into account in the future. We have not just a bridge, but another transport crossing with two bridges. Therefore, in order to calculate all the options, we need more serious modeling with all the promising options using modern technologies,” said Evgeny Lukovnikov

Evgeny Lukovnikov instructed the Ministry of Transport to create a working group and invite more serious experts there

“Until Friday, a list of experts will be formed, and from Monday I propose to meet in this composition on a permanent basis. It is necessary that the designers do not just stew in their own juice, the opinion of representatives of the Administration of the city of Ulan-Ude of the city and, of course, experts, is important here.

During the meeting, the possibility and necessity of a tram device on the left bank of Ulan-Ude was also considered.

Yuri Tkachev, Chairman of the Committee on Transportation of the Administration of the city of Ilan-Ude, noted that about 50 thousand people live in the area of ​​the left bank and this figure is growing every year.

This is necessary to calculate the economic feasibility of project implementation. In June 2020, the head of the republic of Admeks Tsydenov explained that the problem is not only in the high cost of the object itself, but also in the fact that possible approaches to the bridge in recent years are built up by the private sector. The Customer for the development of a feasibility study determined the state government institution "Department of Regional Automobile Roads of the Republic of Buryatia". The development of TEO is planned to be completed in December 2021.
