Since the beginning of the year, aircraft have flown dozens of times to various regions of the Khabarovsk Territory to evacuate patients seriously ill with coronavirus from hard-to-reach corners of the region. The interim results of the service's activities for 2021 were summed up in the government of the region.
In total, more than 450 people have been successfully delivered to medical facilities by helicopters since the beginning of 2021. She has been actively present in the activities of regional doctors since 2016.
– In 10 months of 2021, we held 370 video conferences with district hospitals. Thanks to new technologies, the availability of high-tech medical care for the population of the region is increasing. For such meetings, we invite highly qualified specialists in various fields. The issue of time, transportability of the patient, what transport to use is being decided, – said Andrey Sukhanov, Deputy chief physician for the medical part of the Center for Disaster Medicine.
The regional Ministry of Health noted that most often disaster medicine helicopters fly to the Verkhnebureinsky, Ulchsky and Okhotsk regions. Flights are made several times a week to transport people with coronavirus infection. Recall that in the spring of 2021, several villages were quarantined in the Okhotsk district.
