From the author.

In 1978, I was studying medicine at the University of Vienna and felt that I was missing something very important. Prior to this, an old Chinese teacher named Gya-Fu Fei taught me Tai Qi (a martial art sometimes called "moving meditation") and meditation. He was the first to introduce me to the traditional Chinese term Qi (life energy). At the same time, I participated in seminars on Reich's psychotherapeutic method and bioenergetics. The master who taught me spoke about the Orgone energy, the life energy discovered by Wilhelm Reich. From the Ashram yoga classes in Vienna, I learned about Iran, an Indian term that also refers to life energy. Whether I did bioenergetic exercises, Pranayama exercises or Tai Chi exercises, the result was the same; I felt energetic, cheerful and happy. The perception of the surrounding world has changed.
