Children's medicine in Komsomolsk will become more accessible and better
In a couple of years, a new large medical facility will appear in Komsomolsk – a children's hospital and polyclinic complex in the Leninsky District. Today, at the intersection of Pobeda Avenue and Palace Lane, a lot of work is in full swing – a very important social facility for the city is being built, the appearance of which has long been suggested. Very soon, children's medicine in Komsomolsk-on-Amur will become much more accessible, and the quality of medical care will increase by an order of magnitude.
How will the issue of future personnel for the new institution be resolved, what new departments will appear in the new building. All this was told to the correspondent of the newspaper "Far East Komsomolsk" Dmitry Nikolaev by the head doctor of the Children's City Hospital of Komsomolsk-on-Amur Olga Alexandrovna Gorlach.
“The construction of the children's hospital complex is proceeding according to the schedule approved by the regional government. The commissioning of the complex is scheduled for October 2020. The approved construction cost is 2 billion 732 million rubles. Financing comes from the federal budget (the main part) and the budget of the Khabarovsk Territory. The new hospital complex will include: a children's polyclinic for 16,000 children in the Leninsky District for 500 visits per shift; the medical building of the children's city hospital for 232 beds for the treatment of children from our city and settlements of the northern territories; children's diagnostic center for 300 visits per shift to serve 90,000 children in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, as well as Komsomolsk, Amur, Solnechny, them. Polina Osipenko, Vaninsky and Sovgavansky districts.
Now about everything in order in more detail. Today there are two children's polyclinics in Dzyomgi – No. 2 and No. 5. They are located in non-standard premises with a shortage of space of 3000 square meters. m. and are designed for 153 visits per shift. The number of visits in reality exceeds the calculated one by almost 3 times. Outpatient reception of pediatricians and narrow specialists, as well as diagnostic examination of the child population (X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopic, laboratory) is carried out in disparate structural divisions of various children's and adult medical institutions of Komsomolsk. In children's polyclinics, there are no conditions for comprehensive restorative and rehabilitation treatment of children and the development of hospital-replacing technologies. In this regard, the construction of a children's polyclinic for 500 visits per shift will ensure the provision of outpatient care for Dzemga children in accordance with the approved procedure for providing pediatric care and increase its availability and quality. The expected staffing of the new polyclinic is 401 positions, including 103 doctors.
Our Children's City Hospital today is located in one of the oldest buildings in the city in its historical center. This is a 4-storey, non-plastered red brick building on the street. Pilots, 3 was built in 1938.
In addition, at present, specialized medical care in the areas of "Pediatric Surgery", "Pediatric Traumatology-Orthopedics", "Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology" is provided by specialized departments that are part of various "adult" hospitals and experience a shortage of premises.
The new building for the children's city hospital will be designed for 232 beds, taking into account the placement of beds for the neonatal pathology department. The expected number of staff is 700 positions, including 112 doctors.
A completely new subdivision of the children's city hospital will be a consultative and diagnostic center for children. It will be designed for 300 visits per shift. The expected number of staff is 83 positions, including 31 doctors.
Another absolutely new subdivision for the children's city hospital will be the intensive care unit for 12 beds, which does not exist in the city today.
As for personnel, together with the government of the Khabarovsk Territory, the Far Eastern State Medical University and the Ministry of Health of the Khabarovsk Territory, a program has been developed to attract them. Work is underway with the Medical University (Khabarovsk) and with the Blagoveshchensk Academy. Future personnel will be trained in a two-year residency in those areas in which specialists are needed. Today, graduates are admitted to the medical university, with whom an agreement is concluded on further education and work in the new hospital. Therefore, today there are no obstacles for these people to study and in 2 years, before opening, they should come to work with us. Moreover, there is an understanding that it is impossible to train all specialists within a year, therefore, within 3-4 years, graduates will be trained in practice in the necessary areas.”
