Electronomyography (ENG) – prices in Moscow at the Medical Center "SM Clinic". All types of functional diagnostics carry out experienced specialists on modern equipment.
Electronomyography (ENMG)
In the "cm clinic" you can make an electroniomiography (ENMG). This survey is a modern and highly efficient way to identify pathologies of the peripheral nervous system, muscles and spinal cord.
Diagnostics is performed on special medical equipment by experienced doctors. As part of the ENG, the force of conducting pulses from the nervous system to muscle tissues is determined.
Electronomyography in the "cm clinic" is
Purpose of the study
Thanks to modern methods, you can diagnose oncological neoplasms, pathological changes in the bone system, trigeminal nerve neurosis, etc. All these and other pathologies are very dangerous. That is why the initial ENGM has been able to preserve the full-fledged human activity and even his life.
Primary diagnostics is carried out by our doctors to obtain information necessary for the formulation and confirmation of the diagnosis. The survey makes it possible to find out at what level the reflex chain there is pathology and how serious it is. During the treatment of the detected disease, EMG may be carried out several times with a certain interval for assessing and improving the effectiveness of therapy.
The ENGM is held in the "cm clinic" to determine:
- such as the lesion of the muscular system;
- severity of cellular disorders;
- Stages and form of pathology.
Our doctors prescribe diagnostics:
- in the presence of complaints about muscle pain, spasms, convulsions or weakness in the legs or arms;
- with muscle lesions and impaired muscle tone;
- with nerve lesions;
- After fractures of the upper and lower extremities.
Indications for electroneuromiography
The technique is relevant when identifying a number of diseases and is appointed by our doctors when suspected:
- Miasthenia. Pathology is an autoimmune and accompanied by the weakness of the muscles. With such a disease, negative processes affect the chewing muscles, the muscular system of the face and eye occur. The main reasons for deviations include pathologies of an autoimmune and tumor diseases.
- Radiculitis. With this pathology, one of the spinal nerves is inflated. This leads to the fact that the patient cannot fully move. Moreover, with any attempts to change the position of the body, pronounced pain occurs. The defeat can affect the various spine departments.
- Diabetes. Such pathology is an endocrine and affects not only various organs and tissues, but also a muscular system. In the process of developing diabetes, the patient's muscles often weaken that it becomes the cause of muscle dysfunction as a whole.
- Tunnel syndrome. This pathology is neuralgic in nature and is caused by pinched nerves and squeezing of blood vessels. The patient experiences not only pain, but may also face the problem of restrictions in mobility.
- Multiple sclerosis. This pathology provokes disturbances in the work of the brain and spinal cord, accompanied by unpleasant sensations.
ENMG is also performed by our doctors in cases of suspected pathologies such as:
- plexopathy;
- polyneuropathy;
- spinal amyotrophy, etc.
How is an electroneuromyogram performed?
Research results:
a detailed medical opinion on the state of the muscular system
Before starting the procedure, the doctor will definitely tell you about all the stages of the examination and about the sensations that you will experience. Electromyography is performed on an outpatient basis in a prone or reclining position, while it is important to relax as much as possible. Depending on the area being examined, the doctor determines the places where the electrodes are applied, treats them with an antiseptic solution and lubricates with gel.
The electrodes connected to the electromyograph are fixed by the specialist on the skin in the area of the examined muscle. The signal coming to the electrode goes to the nerve and causes the muscle to contract. During the procedure, the doctor may ask you to tighten a particular muscle, do it several times or at different time intervals. All readings and potential fluctuations are recorded by the device and recorded on paper or magnetic media. Graphically, the result of electroneuromyography resembles the results of an ECG – there are the same jumping teeth and waves.
During the procedure, you may feel a slight tingling sensation, which will disappear after the procedure is completed.
The first results of the ENMG examination are known immediately, but the doctor needs time to decipher and diagnose the disease in detail.
The neurologist performs a correct interpretation of ENMG by comparing the obtained readings with normal ones. The doctor determines the degree of deviation and, based on these and other clinical data, makes a diagnosis.
Training
The procedure does not require special preparation, but do not forget to inform your doctor at the SM-Clinic about taking drugs that affect the neuromuscular system (muscle relaxants, etc.) – you will need to stop taking them a few days before the procedure. 3 hours before ENMG, you should refrain from eating and drinking drinks that affect the nervous system (tea, coffee, cola, energy drinks, chocolate).
Helpful information
Main types of examination
Electroneuromyography is divided into two types:
- Superficial (skin). This procedure is carried out after applying special electrodes to the patient's body, which record any muscle vibrations, determine their localization and the degree of damage. The procedure can be carried out in a state of complete rest, with passive stretching of the fibers, artificial activation of the muscles, their maximum tension and dosed loads. The technique is completely painless.
- Needle.This procedure is carried out using a thin needle-type electrode. With such a procedure, the patient may feel non-tingling during the supply of electrical pulses.
Important! The method of execution of the ENMG survey is selected individually and depends on the detected pathological process. In some cases, both procedures are carried out at the same time. This allows distinguishing diseases that are similar to each other.
The neurologists of the "SM clinic" are carried out both a comprehensive examination and the diagnosis of limbs or the facial muscles. We practice superficial (stimulating, ache) methods, as this is the most affordable, safe and mining contraindications of a survey method. During the procedure, patients do not experience unpleasant sensations.
