English Language Art starts at Kindergarten and follow the Oregon Curriculum.
In Kindergarten, greater emphasis is put on phonetic awareness and reading readiness. Children have three hours per week.
In First Grade they have four hours per week. The focus is more on reading and the introduction to literature, writing and spelling.

From Second grade to Fifth grade, 25% of the programme is in English while 75% is in French. A particular attention is devoted to the study of the different literary texts and to creative writing. American social studies is investigated through research projects.
Our children also go to interesting field trips to enhance their experience with the American culture.

Some aspects of the American math program is studied to familiarise the students with some concepts in English.
